Tyumen Region
Education in focus
Government of Tyumen Region decided to allocate 4.4 billion rubles to the sphere of education. This is one billion rubles more than in 2009. Also, all school children who enter teaching career institutions will get additional scholarships.
Internet technologies
Regional tax offices will gradually shift to new methods of work excluding personal contact. Documents to register small and medium size business can already be submitted online. All such tax payers’ virtual accounts will be administered by one of the tax departments.
Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District
Governor’s blog
Official website of the government of Yugra announced that Alexander Filipenko, governor of the District, had started a video-blog. The governor has already placed his first video speech and promised to give his personal opinions and thoughts in this form and to do it regularly.
Video connection
Special Purpose Multi-Service Connection was installed in the City Hall of Nefteyugansk. This new system will be utilized as high speed real time connection with the government of Yugra. There will be weekly sessions for the municipal authorities to deliver actual reports regarding anti-crisis measures, bank debts, back pay, etc.
Traditional lifestyle
Indigenous peoples of the North, living on the territory of Nizhnevartovsk Region, will receive additional social aid from the local authorities. Technical equipment and financial support will be provided to help maintain and expand existing deer herds, which are the center of these people’s traditional lifestyle.
Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District
Pay rise and grants
Governor of Yamal Yury Neelov announced that budget-dependent workers will have a pay rise of 6.5% starting January 1, 2010. 1.5 billion rubles from the District’s budget have been allotted for this purpose.
Yury Neelov also introduced a system of grants to improve the quality of governance effectiveness in the municipal territories. There are four categories of grants each awarding 100 million rubles for the winning project.
