PPE deputy
Sergey Degtyar left his post of a deputy PPE in the Ural Federal District. It is expected that he continues work in the office of the governor of Tyumen Region. His responsibilities of deputy PPE will go to Alexander Beletsky.
5 months results
Government of Tyumen Region held a meeting devoted to the development of the social sphere in the first 5 months of 2009. It has been acknowledged that all the social programs, and priority national special purpose programs in particular, are realized and fully financed. Although the level of implementation is different in different municipal districts.
National project
National project “Affordable Housing” has been developed in the region since 2006 and should be finished by 2010. 4500 thousand people have already received financial support from the government for buying new homes (1371 young families out of 1647). The government has spent 977 million rubles for this purpose, 635 of which came from the regional budget.
Industrial indices growth
Industrial production index has grown, reports the governor of Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushev. It now makes 90.8% of the last year’s index. Oil production increased by 68.2% in the past 6 months compared to the same period of 2008. Among other growing industries we find food production (107.2%), oil processing (106.7%), transport and equipment production (118.2%). Timber industry and furniture production indices fell by 30%.
Rostechnologies
Viktor Basargin, who used to be deputy PPE in the Ural Federal District, has been appointed for a new position by the President of Russia. Viktor Basargin is now a member of the Supervisory Board of the governmental corporation Russian Technologies (Rostechnologies). Commission of Dmitry Kozak, who used to be the board’s member, has been terminated.

OJSC Corporation Ural Industrial – Ural Polar held an annual meeting of the shareholders in June 25, 2009. The shareholders approved the corporation’s annual report, annual accounting report and a report on profits and losses in 2008. The company’s profit made 40.6 million rubles in 2008.
The shareholders also elected members of the Supervisory Board, which now comprises of Oleg Demchenko, general director of the corporation; Igor Ishmaev, vice-governor of Yamalo-Nenets AD and District’s Department of Property Relations Director; Alexander Moor, vice-governor of Tyumen Region; Vyacheslav Novotsky, the first deputy chairman of the government of Yugra; and Evgeny Teftelev, minister of industry and natural resources of Chelyabinsk Region.
LUKoil-Western Siberia
Nature preservation prosecution service of Khanty-Mansiisk AD investigated how forest legislation is complied with during construction of objects for oil and gas industry. The service checked water pipe construction site in Kondinky area of the District where a number of companies work together – LUKoil-Western Siberia LLC, OJSC GlobalStroi-Engineering, GSI-Sibpromstroi LLC and Construction Company Synergy LLC. They use forest lands at Tolumskoe oil pool without a license. It is also documented that these companies cut trees without a permit and damaged soil, total damage amounts to over 1 million rubles.
Nature preservation prosecutor filed a case to court against these companies to claim contribution.
Yugra’s earnings
Duma of Yugra corrected the regional budget-2011. Both budget earnings and expenses are increased due to the increased income of the region coming from the corporate property tax. Thus, earnings of the budget were increased by 3.586 billion rubles (accounts for 5.1%), while expenses were increased by 2.572 million rubles (2.7%).

Northern Expedition
Workers of the geological exploration company “Northern Exhibition” stopped their hunger strike, which started on June 25 and lasted for over a week. Administration of the company paid off all wage debts to these specialists. The situation was solved thanks to active participation of the regional authorities. Thus, vice-governor Alexander Kim went to Moscow to solve financial problems and managed to persuade “BurGas” to pay its debt to Northern Expedition.
